Alexandra Lopatina

Alexandra (Sasha) Lopatina was born on October 26, 2012. Diagnosis: atypical autism, delayed speech and mental development.

The diagnosis of Sasha became clear only when as the girl was two years old. Before then, the little girl was just as her peers: she learned to sit, then walk right at time. Then there came sounds, syllables and first words. Sasha played toys with pleasure, smiled, was very emotional, just as any normal child.

And then the first signs of autism came – the girl stopped contacting with people, withdrew into herself, used only a couple of words for communication. In a word, she ceased to be the very Sasha, the way everyone knew her.

Now Sasha is 5 years old, and she still has a chance to learn to communicate with relatives, with society. In order to do this, she needs permanent training with specialists, consultations of doctors and regular rehabilitation.

The younger the child is, the more opportunities she has to rehabilitate and begin to live a normal life. This is a very long and time-consuming process. Sasha is brought up by one mother, and it is very difficult for her to find enough material to provide her daughter with everything necessary for a treatment. What is offered free of charge for a little Alexandra is not much: she needs rehabilitation sessions on a constant basis. That is, much more often than a clinics can offer in our town. Besides, there are way much more people waiting for this kind of treatment, than the clinic can offer.

Sasha is in a situation where we can help to change her life: find harmony with herself, with her relatives, show her how beautiful this world is: watch animals, birds, nature, everything that surrounds us!
