Charity Photoshooting “Kind Summer”

On August 22, 2017 a charity photo session “Good Summer” was held in Green Park Hotel in Petropavlovsk and also on the boat “Breeze”!
Many nice people of our city helped make this holiday memorable. The participants received amazing summer pictures from the best photographers of Petropavlovsk! The children at the festival enjoyed entertainment with animators, a creative master class and aquagrim. Friends and partners of Hand4Kids Foundation prepared delicious treats for the guests.

The government of Petropavlovsk helped the guests to arrive at the Green Park Hotel.

The half a million tenge (539’000 KZT) collected at “Good Summer” was spent to support each family, which is in charge of the Hand4Kids Foundation. And thanks to the collected funds at this and the following events, we were able to increase the list of patients that will permanently receive our help!

Physchological Game with Galina Batalova for Charity

On July 18, 2017 Galina held a charity psychological game. Below you can find a feedback of one of the participants of this game:

What do you know about yourself? Yes, yes, about yourself, your fears and dreams, about what you really want, and about what fills you with strength? I’m sure that every person who can think has prepared answers to these questions. But is everything so obvious, as it seems?

The essence of the game is simple: you take 2 cards. On one there is a question, and on the other is a picture that needs to be interpreted within the framework of the answer to this question. Pictures are different and not always you can immediately understand what they are about. In order to find a correct interpretation, Galina – the host of the game was there. I would like to express my special gratitude for the tact of Galina. She gently guided each of us through the answers, trying to find the exact answer.

We are the carriers of hidden knowledge about ourselves. We get used to answering ordinary questions with ready-made phrases. But all these answers are relevant only here and now. But the time is running, we are in a constant movement. And now, once again answering the ordinary question, you suddenly feel that the previous answer is no longer suitable for you. Find YOUR answers to important questions – that’s why you should try it! And also this game gives an opportunity to get to know those who gathered behind the table.

A person is like a ball of melange threads: until you unwind the top layer, you will never know what color is the thread inside. This game helped me opening a small slit in the soul of each of the participants, helped to discern in each what I had not noticed before.

Give it a try and play! With friends or relatives – it will be interesting anyway!

Our activities in May 2017

Thanks to your participation we have achieved:

– Massage course for Gleb organized and paid
– Prepared gifts for the trustees of the fund for June 1st
– Bought diapers for Dima and Grisha
and last Sunday arranged a holiday for Grisha on his birthday!

Karina Chairutdinova

Khayrutdinova Karina Amirovna, born 01-03-2007

Diagnosis: Right-Sided Hemiparesis.
Concomitant diagnosis: Focal epilepsy.
Idiopathic component on the right. Hemianopsia on the right. Delay of psychoverbal development.
Surgical intervention hemispherectomy on the left 07/17/2013.

At birth Karina was diagnosed with focal epilepsy. In July 2013 Karina underwent a surgical intervention in a German clinic – left hemispherectomy. Doctors eased Karina her epileptic seizures but a hemiparesis on the right side was formed: there is no hand-grasp on the right side, right foot hangs down. Karina wears an orthosis.

After the surgical intervention Karina actively began to develop and make progress in training. The speech appeared. Now girl has a large vocabulary, she speaks a lot but often it is not legible. Because she needs classes with a speech therapist.

Karina is a home-schooled student. Now she is in the third grade. She can spell, she writes and completes tasks and examples. Karina has a good memory, she learns verses by heart with pleasure and knows many poems. And once a week girl visits classes with her mother in the Sunday school: dancing, theater, music and a creative workshop. Karina has wonderful crafts made of plasticine, paper, foamiran and fabric. And she always participates with them in creativity competitions. In December 2016 she took the third place in the state bird feeder competition.
Karina likes to do puzzles and Lego constructor, to paint, to draw with colored sand, to compose pictures of rhinestones and sequins, to watch favorite cartoons at home.

Karina and her mother regularly go to rehabilitation in Almaty. The procedures for the girl are paid from the state budget but her mother accompanies her child at her own expense. For the moment she goes to rehabilitation once a year but doctors recommend Karina to do this at least twice a year.
Another constant item of family expenses is a purchase of an anticonvulsant drug “Ospolot” which is ordered in Germany. Karina takes this medicine constantly, there are needed four packs of medicine for one year at the cost of 80 euros for each pack.
